How does the 30 day free trial work?

The free trial is a no-obligation trial of AutoDebit. You can use the software as much as you like for a full 30 days, and if you don't want to sign-up at the end, you don't have to.

Are your prices fixed per month or are they per instruction/debit/credit?

With AutoDebit, you pay the same price for each direct debit/credit instruction or recurring card payment you set up and for each transaction. Unless these charges exceed your minimum monthly fee, that's all you pay, there are no hidden charges.

If I upgrade to a paying plan from the free plan, will I still get a 30-day free trial?

Yes, you'll still get a full 30-day free trial if you upgrade your plan from the free plan. If you decide you don't want to upgrade after all, you don't have to.

Is this a long-term commitment? Can I cancel it?

Plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. If you cancel, you will only be billed for the current month. Our 'Enterprise' plan is the only exception, which is offered based on a minimum 2-year term.

Can I change plans at any time?

Yes, you can change plans at any time, except with the 'Enterprise' plan. If you downgrade, you will only be billed for your current plan for the current month.

Can you invoice us? Do you accept cheques or PayPal?

Yes, we will invoice you, and we accept cheques, card and PayPal payments.

What do I need to start using AutoDebit?

All we need from you is your OIN (Originator Identification Number) for DirectDebit/Credit, or Merchant Number for Credit Card debiting/crediting. If you don't have this already, speak to your bank, or see our documentation on Accreditation. If you want to use AutoDebit for PayPal payments only, we just need your PayPal account details.

Will my customers need to sign a direct debit mandate?

No, AutoDebit is designed to be 100% paperless. The only documentation your customer need see is the confirmation that they are set-up, which can be sent by e-mail, SMS or in the post automatically by AutoDebit; everything else is handled via phone or website.

Could my customers be scared of losing control over the direct debits from their account?

With AutoDebit, your customers don't lose control over direct debits from their account. In fact, it gives them greater control. When you set-up a customer with AutoDebit, they need to sign a direct debit request form which clearly outlines their direct debit arrangements with you.

How do my customers cancel their payments?

If your customers wish to cancel their direct debit instruction at any time they cancel via your AutoDebit-integrated website, or contact you, or cancel with their bank. Cancellations are only accepted when authorised by you.

How does AutoDebit respect the confidentiality of my customer relationships?

We don't want to intervene in the payment arrangements established between you and your customer. We'd rather give you the flexibility of nominating collection of your customer payments. We have invested heavily to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of your business' customer information.

How does AutoDebit pay my business?

Once we collect your customer payments, we will deposit these directly into an account of your choice.

What happens with failed payments?

Failed payments can be largely attributed to customers having insufficient funds in their account. We have a process and methodology in place that alerts the customer to the failed collection after a certain number of attempts. We also document this on your free transaction reports, so you can undertake any contact you feel necessary to recover the payment.

If a payment is unsuccessful, we can instigate a series of failed payment notices on your behalf. If payments remain outstanding, you can decide whether you would like to pursue it yourself or have it submitted for collection. You are in complete control.

Which web browsers work with AutoDebit?

Any of the following web browsers work with AutoDebit: Internet Explorer 7 or later (PC), Firefox 2 or later (Mac, PC or Linux), Safari 3 or later (Mac, PC or Linux).

Can I integrate my existing software with AutoDebit?

AutoDebit has strong integration options at it's heart, making import and export of data from the system very easy. We support a full API suite based on SOAP over XML web-services, export to Excel for reports, and import of CSV files for creating new customers and payment plans. For more details see here.
